Can I go to USA after BDS in India?

The Indian BDS or MDS degree ( actually any medical related degree) is not recognised in the US. If you want to open up a clinic, you have to first clear NBDE part 1 and part 2 exam, get admission into the DDS ( Doctor of Dental Surgery) course, get the degree, then only you can open the clinic in US.

How can I practice dentistry in USA after BDS in India?

To practice dentistry in the USA you will need to get admission to 2 years of DDS course being provided in the various dental colleges in the USA. But for getting admission into DDS you will need to qualify for it by clearing the NBDE exams which consists of 2 parts – NBDE Part 1 & NBDE Part 2.

Can a BDS student do MS?

Yes you can apply MS in Dental after completion of your BDS course. Students those who have completed their BDS course from a recognised University can definitely apply for MS course in the relevant field.

Is NBDE easy?

The theory exams are still easier to crack, but the clinicals are no piece of cake. You’ll need clinical training to clear that one, which is not easy to get there. So there are a lot of downsides to it, but also the returns are great if you overcome all of this. So, you need to think about your priorities.

What are the best post graduation courses after BDS in India?

MPH – you can get into this course fairly easy after your BDS in India. Also it makes for a good base if you want to apply for DDS later on. MHA – another non-clinical field which has good returns. Taking up a post graduation course in India, like MDS will require you to clear the entrance exam.

How can I become a dentist in India with a BDS?

If you have a qualified BDS from India or any foreign country trained & qualified dentist then, alternatively you can apply for MDS certificate courses which is also 2–3 years course, with some stipend (to be verified at each college) and practise dentistry after the course completion

Is it possible to do BDS in USA?

Well no! There is a sad fact that in most of the countries BDS is not recognised. So they ask you to do 2 years mandatory course of DDS which is actually almost the repetition of the same thing you have studied in bds. To get into DDS you have to clear two parts of NBDE exam. It will give you the licensure to practice in US.
