Will chicken wire work as rebar?

I won’t do that, as chicken wire mesh is too soft, not suitable to be used as a rebar. Moreover, it is not lasting, although you can use it. Why not, you try to use BRC (from RA6 to RA11) it’s inexpensive and lightweight as well, it comes in a roll or a sheet, easy for transport too.

Is rebar needed for a patio?

Do concrete patios need rebar? Even though it’s possible to build a concrete patio without rebar, it’s not recommended.
