What is the difference between Indian army and BSF?

Forces like BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF and SSB which come under Ministry of Home Affairs were earlier considered paramilitary forces, but from March 2011 have been reclassified as Central Armed Police Forces to avoid confusion, You must know that these forces are totally different form Indian Army.

What is the difference between ITBP and AR?

Answer: The biggest difference between ITBR and AR is the highest controlling authority. Ministry of Defence controls the Armed Forces- the Army, Navy and Air Force where as PMFs like the BSF, ITBP etc are controlled by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

What is the difference between ITBP and CRPF?

ITBP has some parts which no other force would be having. It includes special training in snow clad region, rafting, mountaineering, rock climbing, skiing etc. CRPF has riot control and jungle survival training, counter guerrilla tactics etc.

What is the role of ITBP paratroopers in the Indian Army?

ITBP Paratrooper Forces is a relatively new forces compared to Indian Army Airborne Forces whose experience spans since World War 2. ITBP Paratroopers will be use for air dropping supplies at forward posts during hostilities and not deployed behind the enemy lines as IA Airborne Forces would be deployed in case of any conflict.

What is the difference between ITBP and BSF and CISF?

BSF is a border security force . It performs duties on pakistan border and bangladesh border . ITBP is indo tibetian border police and deployment is on china border. CISF is central industrial security force to perform duties in airports and goverment occupied industries such as dam , note printing press,ordanance factories etc.

What is the role of BSF and CRPF in national security?
