Can a mechanical engineer join army?

As mechanical engineer you can join EME or Corps of Engineers as per your merit in IMA or OTA. Second way is to go through CDS Examination conducted by UPSC every year. Here you can go for short service or permanent commissioning based on your merit. Third is to join territorial army on temporary basis.
