What makes the Marine Corps unique?

Thanks to the Marines’ versatility, they have one particularly unique responsibility: protecting our nation’s embassies around the globe. The former Commandant of the Marine Corps Robert Neller stated that, as of 2016, “Marines are routinely serving at 174 embassies and consulates in 146 countries around the globe.”

How are Marines taught shooting?

During grass week, recruits spend hundreds of hours snapping in on targets and getting used to the different firing positions. They practicing their breathing, trigger control, and learn how to zero their rifles. When they shoot their weapons the following week, they’re ready.
