What should I do if I fail IB?
If a student fails an IB exam, he/she may retake it the next year. A student who has already graduated from high school by that time may return to the high school campus for the next year’s testing session. If a student has failed an exam at the end of grade 11, he/she may retake the exam in May of grade 12.
Can you appeal IB results?
The IB will not accept requests for re-mark from candidates or their parents/legal guardians directly. As there is a possibility that a grade is lowered, written consent from the candidate (or legal guardian) is required.
Can you get rescinded for bad IB scores?
If they accepted you on the premise of your IB Diploma being pending, then they can rescind the offer. (Honestly, they can rescind it for any reason or no reason, including overcrowding.)
Can you get the IB diploma if you fail a class?
It depends on how badly you failed. If you score a grade 2 in any subject, then you will not get your Diploma. If you have more than three scores of grade 3, you will also fail the Diploma.
How long is IB appeal?
The IBO estimates a turnaround of 18 days for remarks. If the remark results in an increase in grade there will be no charge and you will be issued a refund through ParentPay, if the grade decreases or remains the same no refund will be issued.
How do I complain to the Intelligence Bureau?
Complaints should be submitted in writing to the email address [email protected]. Please provide as much information as possible about the nature of your complaint and the departments or services involved.
Do US universities care about final IB grades?
Predicted grades matter because for those graduating grade 12, they won’t get their final grades back from the IB World Organization until the start of first-year university. Universities have to accept them based on their predicted grades, because they don’t know yet what the final grades will be.
