How do you get AEO certification?

Application Form : (applicable for grant of AEO-T1, AEO-T2, AEO-T3 and AEO-LO)

  1. Name/Address of all location/site of applicant.
  2. Name/Designation/Email/Mobile/Fax/Phone of central point of contact person.
  3. PAN of the applicant.
  4. Major items /Country of Import/Export with Tariff Code.
  5. No.
  6. Copy of MSME certificate (if any)

What is AEO requirements?

The criteria for granting AEO status are contained in Article 5(a)(2) of Commission Regulation 2913/92. These include but are not restricted to: an appropriate record of compliance. a satisfactory system of managing commercial and, where appropriate, transport records, which allows appropriate customs controls.

Who can apply for AEO?

Eligibility Criteria for Obtaining AEO Certificate

  • The business entity must be established in India.
  • The business must be involved in customs-related activities.
  • The business must have handled a minimum of 25 customs documents, i.e. either shipping bills or bills of entry in the last financial year.

What is the meaning of Authorised economic operator?

An Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) is defined by the WCO SAFE Framework of Standards as a party involved in the international movement of goods, in whatever function, that has been approved by, or on behalf of, a national Customs administration as complying with WCO or equivalent supply chain security standards.
