Is CPT mandatory in CGL?

Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) is of qualifying nature only, means marks scored in this test are not counted in preparing the final result. If you fail in the CPT you can’t be selected for the post for which it’s compulsory. However you’ll be considered for all other posts in this case.

Which post in SSC CGL does not require typing test?

No. But there is also a test called C.P.T. (Computer Proficiency Test) that is for the post of Assistant in C.S.S. (Central Service Secretariat), Assistant in M.E.A.

Is CPT mandatory for excise inspector?

Which post in SSC CGL requires CPT?

It is conducted for the post of Tax Assistants (Central Excise and Income Tax). Any Candidate who takes CPT does not require to appear for DEST as part 1 of CPT (Typing) will be considered for DEST evaluation.

Is Dest and CPT compulsory for SSC CGL?
