What is the use of Karakamsa?
Karakamsa is a term mainly used in Jaimini sutra, or Jaimini astrology. In Jaimini there are seven karakas which represents different things in your life. Based on their degrees they play a certain role in the horoscope. From the highest to the lowest (7th) degree, planets are given a certain karaka name.
How can I read Karakamsa?
- Identify the Atmakaraka (Planet with maximum number of degrees in comparison to other planets)
- Locate the rashi in which this Atmakaraka is placed in Navamsa chart.
- Place this Rashi in the Lagan of Swamsa chart.
- Now Place all planets in this chart IDENTICAL with their Rashi placement in NAVAMSA chart.
What does Navamsa chart indicates?
Navamsa is a Divisional Chart which is very important to see in Vedic Astrology. Meaning of Navamsa is ” Nine Amsa” and Amsa means division. So Navamsa simply means 9th Division of a Sign. The Navamsa chart decides the strength of planets in your horoscope.
What is Karkamsha Lagna?
Libra is Karkamsha lagna, sign of justice. 5th house is having ketu only and receiving the aspect of Venus and Mars from the Libra, lord of 5th is Saturn and in 6th house of Law. Jupiter and Saturn doing kartari of 5th house is again good for law.
Where is is Karakamsa?
Karakamsha fuses the concept of the Atmakaraka and the Navamsa. The Karakamsa is the Rashi in the D9 where the Atmakaraka planet of the D1 is placed. Just as the D9 tells us the finer nuances of the D1, the Karakamsa tells us more about the Atmakaraka and the person.
What is Upapada lagna?
Another important lagna which is considered in Vedic Astrology is Upapada Lagna. This Lagna is used to see the traits and characteristics of your to-be Spouse. 7th house is the main house of marriage and spouse. Now, 12th house is 6th from 7th house.
The difference between the Rasi chart and the Navamsa chart is that in the rasi chart the planetary motion does not change for 2 hours but in the Navamsa chart the planetary motion changes in 13-14 minutes according to sources hence giving the details in more detail.
