What is UPI Rev transaction?

Sometimes banks take extra time to transfer money. Ask the merchant to view their bank statement to check if they received the money. If a transaction failed, check your own statement for the money. The entry will say ‘UPI-REV’ or ‘UPI-RET’, followed by the UPI transaction ID.

What is meant by Rev in bank statement?

REV – reversal: a standing order or Direct Debit has been recalled.

What happens if UPI transaction failed but money debited?

Customers may avail uninterrupted IMPS and UPI services. As per the circular, if the money debited from customer’s bank account does not reverse back to the bank account within the specified time period, due to a failed transaction, then the bank is liable to pay a penalty of Rs 100 per day to the customer.

This means that if a transaction fails today, the money should be credited back to the person who initiated it by the end of the next business day.

How do I cancel a processing payment in GPAY?

If a payment shows ‘pending’ status, it means that you cannot cancel it or take any further action on it. In case the payment has been stuck as ‘processing’ for a long time, the app will give you the transaction pending message.

What is credit adjustment?

Credit Adjustment: In this type, corrections are made that results in crediting the customer account. Credit adjustment generally happens due to reduction of bills because of an allowance, return or cancellation. It is the opposite of an invoice. This adjustment increases the debit balance of a customer.

What is bank receipt?

A bank receipt contains detailed information about a financial transaction conducted at a bank. The transaction receipt generally includes the amount of the transaction, the date it occurred, and the employee number of the bank employee who conducted the transaction.
