Is DCT good for India?

Agreed, DCT is not recommended for countries like India due to climate conditions. Moreover, major auto makers like VW and Ford switched back to Torque converter cars in their automatic versions. The DCT failed miserably. So, go for Torque converter cars when it comes to automatic.

Hyundai recently launched the Venue turbo-petrol variant with a new iMT gearbox and it is really unique for what it has to offer. The 120hp 1.0L turbo-petrol engine is thus now available with three transmission options – a 7-speed DCT, a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed clutchless manual gearbox.

How fast is the Toyota venue Turbo DCT?

The manual variant is a close second with a time of 10.99 seconds while the DCT equipped 1.0L Venue Turbo comes last in this performance test. You’d normally expect the DCT gearbox to be the fastest of the lot but it is not actually the faul of the gearbox that it came last.
