Amazon doesn’t share customer contact information, so you never know who actually buys your books.
How can I tell if a Kindle book was purchased?
Go to Your Account then click on manage digital content. You will then see a list of all the books you have bought or downloaded for your Kindle. You can see it in several ways. I prefer to see the most recent purchase at the top of the list going back in time as they were bought.
Are my Kindle purchases private?
You cannot hide books (just “tuck” them out of sight into some innocuous-sounding collection) from someone whose device is on your account and not under parental controls. If you want to hide them just on your Paperwhite, you can remove them from the device and then deregister your Kindle.
