Special mention to Aztec Champions (13+8 attack, bonus vs building) and Mayan Elite Eagle Warrior ( 9+4 attack, Attack bonus vs Monk, Cavalry and Archers and 100 hitpoints) they are cheaper yet effective. I suck at AOE2 but I would say, defensively Teutons are better.
