Can the military withhold your mail?
The secrecy of mails cannot be violated. Depredation against or tampering with mails is an offense under the UCMJ and can be punished as decided by a court martial.
Can the military read your letters?
Basically though your mail is your own and no one without your permission can mess with your mail. Bear in mind that while they technically aren’t allowed to READ your mail, they can review and possibly search your mail for contraband.

Do you have to request leave on behalf of a military?
No one is required to request leave on behalf of a military member. A general officer will not correspond with you on behalf of military personnel planning to take leave. A general officer will not be a member of an internet dating site. Military members are not charged money or taxes to secure communications or leave.
Can I help military personnel get money out of the country?
Military financial offices are not used to help military personnel buy or sell items of any kind. Member of the military deployed to combat zones do not need to solicit money from the public to feed or house their troops. Deployed military personnel do not find large sums of money and do not need your help to get that money out of the country.
Does the United States have a mandate in Syria?
Currently, the U.S. and its few coalition partners operating in Syria don’t have a mandate from anyone – they lack UN Security Council authorization and they also do not have the consent of the Syrian government to use force within its territory.
