In an earlier FEDS Note, “Index of Common Inflation Expectations,” we introduced the Index of Common Inflation Expectations, or “CIE”, which summarizes the comovement of a wide variety of inflation expectations measures based on a dynamic factor model.

Color Rendering Index (CRI) is a way to measure a light source’s distinctive attributes. It is an assessment of how the light source shows object colors “naturally” when compared to a familiar basis of reference, either incandescent light or daylight.

What is the CRI scale?

The Color Rendering Index (CRI) is a scale from 0 to 100 percent indicating how accurate a “given” light source is at rendering color when compared to a “reference” light source. The higher the CRI, the better the color rendering ability. Light sources with a CRI of 85 to 90 are considered good at color rendering.
