Is it normal to not like music?

It turns out that there are totally normal people who just aren’t that into music. A group of reseachers working mostly in Spain, who published their findings in a recent edition of Current Biology, call this condition “musical anheodnia,” a fancy way of saying that someone isn’t able to derive pleasure from music.

It’s what’s referred to as specific musical anhedonia—different from general anhedonia, which is the inability to feel any kind of pleasure and which is often associated with depression.

Basically, you arent all that weird. I didnt really listen to music as a kid, as I got older music began to trigger pretty elaborate images in my head, and then it became addictive. This is the exact reason I suffer when watching movies. I get bored because Im not making images in my head cause I have to look at the movie.
