Is there a way for Wolverine to beat Magneto?

In the comics X-men Requiem, if I’m remember it correctly, Wolverine was able to kill Magneto in a battle, but he also died afterwards. He can win, but there is only one way to do it: he needs to extract all the adamantium from his body and return to his original form when his claws were made of his own bones.
