    An isu in TCS means Industry Solution units . At TCS we have horizontal Isu and vertical isu .Hi-tech is a vertical Isu and I currently work in hitech .The technology varies from project to project and includes SAP (my project is based on Sap),Oracle even Java as well.

    I really doubt that the term Hi-Tech exists as stand-alone IOU in TCS. It is actually known as Hi-Tech and Telecom (HTT). Thus, basic infrastructure related requirements and technologies under Telecom layer forms a part of this ISU. You may get to work on Unix and scripting languages.

    If a client (account) is large, there are dedicated people required to manage desktop allocation, signing NDA (non-disclosure agreements), VISA and travel applications etc. Technologies used : MS Excel, MS Work, IBM email client, various TCS internal employee portals I worked in the Hi-Tech and Telecom ISU in TCS for all my time there.

    On software side, Hi-Tech is bright for those who want to work on cutting edge technologies as many development project involve iOS, Android apps development and Linux Driver Development. Firmware development also bring good amount of work in this ISU. Albeit, I am not sure about your background and experience, But I hope it helps you.
