What cable is used for speakon?

For years, high-end audio cables have been mistaken by users, and, most of the time, speakers are connected to amplifiers using regular XLR or ¼ cables.

What are the two types of connectors for an XLR cable?

The XLR Connector The most commonly used format in audio applications is the 3 pin XLR. Originally produced by Cannon Electronics, and released as the Cannon X range, this led to them being known as ‘Cannon’ connections. The second revision was the Cannon XL (featuring a locking switch) and the third, the Cannon XLR.

Do XLR connectors matter?

Generally all NL2 Speakon jacks and NL2 Speakon cable are wired the same and fully compatible.
