Can a mini ATX motherboard fit in an ATX case?

Backward compatibility microATX was explicitly designed to be backward-compatible with ATX. The mounting points of microATX motherboards are a subset of those used on full-size ATX boards, and the I/O panel is identical. Thus, microATX motherboards can be used in full-size ATX cases.

Will a microATX fit in a mid ATX case?

Yes, you can. The mounting holes on an mATX board are the same as an ATX board – they just have less of them because the board isn’t as large. You will have no trouble using that motherboard in that case.

Can Micro-ATX fit in mini tower case?
