What are Rongorongo tablets?

Rongorongo is the only known systemized writing in Polynesia. It consists of glyphs carved into wood tablets and artifacts such as reimiro and tangata manu carved figures. Only twenty-four authentic inscribed objects from Easter Island survive in museums today.
