Why is breathing an important principle of Qi Gong practice?

Abdominal diaphragmatic breathing will lower the blood pressure, activate peristalsis and increase the venous return of oxygenated blood. This increases the overall oxygen level of the blood. It also draws the Qi down into the lower part of the body which helps to relax the mind.

How many times a day should you do qigong?
