Is Shakshuka the same as menemen?

Menemen is a feast that is made from tomatoes, green peppers, onions , olive oil and eggs. In the Middle East’s version spicy—shakshuka —cumin seeds and harissa are added. Menemen, baked eggs, shakshuka are all the same dish.

  2. Using a wooden spoon, create 4 pockets in the tomato mixture and crack the eggs into them. Cover the pan and cook the eggs over a low heat until just set.
