How often do you wash clothes in basic training?

There is a laundry room located in each compartment and recruits wash laundry daily. Recruits also receive a minimum of one hour of personal hygiene time per day.

What clothes do they give you in basic training?

You’ll need casual, comfortable clothing. Also bring white underwear, calf-length athletic socks (also white), a pair of comfortable shoes or running shoes and your eyeglasses.

Some recruits wash everybody’s laundry, marked in standard places with the laundry marking kit and in a mesh laundry bag. Other recruits will be scrubbing the showers and toilets, or polishing floors. Yes, the service gives recruits EVERYTHING they will be wearing. No, you’re not allowed to use anything you bring to bootcamp.

In boot camp your uniforms are sent to the laundry,it is up to you how many times you wear your uniform, When I went to bootcamp, we had multiple sets of socks, underwear, and t-shirts. The uniform items themselves, the trousers and blouse, would usually be worn multiple days.

The recruits have multiple sets of uniforms that they must maintain and keep in order daily, but they don’t wear the same clothes everyday. The amount of uniforms varies depending on the branch, but you wear your set of uniforms until dirty, then you put it with your laundry that is washed by the laundry crew in your flight.
