Is Becker better than Wiley?

Though both companies offer quality prep books in both digital and hard copy format, Becker’s books are slightly better than Wiley’s in our team’s rating system. Wiley offers some nice study guide-style texts, but Becker’s legendary books, which have been updated and vetted for decades, are about tops in the industry.

You will probably see a question or 2 per exam that is almost exactly the same as a Becker mcq. Many other questions are similar. The MCQ’s aren’t too bad.

Are Becker CPA Flashcards worth it?

I got them for free, and I liked them for audit, but nothing else. Theyre a little too wordy and I didnt gain much from them, so overall I would say not worth it. If you are trying to score in the 90’s then I would say go for it, but otherwise they are overkill. Becker prepares you well enough without them.

The best way to pass the CPA is not to expect the basic and what’s easy. That’s just my 2 cent. With that said, yes I found becker to be more indepth that the exams I have taken so far. The ratio of theory to calculation on BEC for me was about 70/30 respectively.
