Are there 7 states of matter?

Matter is any thing that is made from atoms and molecules. The seven states of matter that I am investigating are Solids, Liquids, Gases, Ionized Plasma, Quark-Gluon Plasma, Bose-Einstein Condensate and Fermionic Condensate.

What are the 6 states of matter?

There are three forms of matter: solids, liquids and gases. But that’s not even half right. There are at least six: solids, liquids, gases, plasmas, Bose-Einstein condensates, and a new form of matter called “fermionic condensates” just discovered by NASA-supported researchers.

How many states of matter are there class 9?

There are three states of matter – solid, liquid and gas.

How was Bose-Einstein condensate found?

In July 2018, an experiment aboard the International Space Station cooled a cloud of rubidium atoms to ten-millionth of a degree above absolute zero, producing a Bose-Einstein condensate in space.

What is the 4th state of matter?

Plasma
Plasma, the fourth state of matter (beyond the conventional solids, liquids and gases), is an ionized gas consisting of approximately equal numbers of positively and negatively charged particles.

What three of the most common states of matter?

Solids The solid state is one of the fundamental states of matter. Solids differ from liquids and gases by the characteristic of rigidity.

  • Liquids The molecules in a liquid are closely packed due to weak intermolecular forces. These forces are weaker than solids but stronger than that of gases.
  • Gases
  • Which of these states of matter has the least energy?

Solid has the least amount of energy. This is so because liquid is free to move and can fit in any shape. Gas floats and is usually always free to move. Solid isn’t free to move unless some force moves it.

Are there more than 4 states of matter?

There are four common states of matter (or phases) in the universe: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. The state of matter affects a substance’s properties, such as density, viscosity (how well it flows), malleability (how easy it is to bend), and conductivity.

What are the 7 states of matter?

Matter is any thing that is made from atoms and molecules.( Studios, 1995) .The seven states of matter that I am investigating are Solids, Liquids, Gases, Ionized Plasma, Quark-Gluon Plasma, Bose-Einstein Condensate and Fermionic Condensate.
