Do blocked messages turn green?

If the iMessage never shows a “Delivered” or “Read” message, and it’s still blue, then you may have been blocked – but not always. Remember, when messages are being sent as green instead of blue, that means the phone is attempting to send a traditional SMS text message instead of an iMessage.

How do you know if someone blocks you on iMessage?

More to the point, if you’re messaging someone via iMessage and your text bubbles suddenly change to green from blue, it’s a sign they have blocked your iPhone number. The ‘sent’ versus ‘delivered’ badge may just be confirmation they’ve blocked you.

If the text message says delivered, that just means that it made it to its destination safely. If the recipient hasn’t opened it, then it wouldn’t show as “read”. There would be no indicator on your end that you were blocked. The blocking feature is done through the phone itself.

Will it say sent as text if blocked?

When you’re blocked the message won’t even get to change from blue to green – it’ll just stay blue with no “delivered” or “read” message underneath it. When it changes to green, it means that a) you have “Send as SMS” turned on, and b) either you or the recipient has no data connection.
