Will an iMessage deliver if someone is on the phone?
When the recipient’s phone is turned off or dead, Apple holds the iMessages sent to that account on its servers and delivers them to the iPhone when the recipient turns it back on. The message is delivered to any of these devices when it is active, even if the message has not reached the phone.
Will an iMessage be sent as a text message when the recipient’s phone is turned off?
If the recipient’s phone is off, iMessage will not say delivered to the sender until the phone is powered back on. iMessage will only go through and says delivered if the recipient has other Apple devices with iMessage enabled. For any concerns or questions, please let us know in the comment section below.
Why does it say iMessage but sent as text message?
As mentioned previously, an iMessage sent as a text message is usually indicative of a network issue. If your iMessage doesn’t have a “Delivered” message underneath it, but previous ones in the conversation did, then this could be an indication that you have been blocked.
Will iMessage deliver if phone is on Do Not Disturb?
It will still show as delivered. All applications associated with messaging will say it’s delivered be it do not disturb or not. Unless you sent him/her a message directly on the number and not using any other app including iMessage.
When iphone text says delivered Has it been read?
“Delivered” means that the phone has received the message. “Read” means that the person has read the message. People, though, can turn off “Send Read Receipts”, which means that even if they have read the message, it won’t actually show the “Read” message to the other person (the sender of the message).
Why are my iMessages green when texting another iPhone?
It actually means a message that you have sent to someone else is through SMS message service instead of Apple iMessage. If iMessage is switched off either on your iPhone or on the recipient’s iPhone, the message will be sent via SMS and due to this, the message background turned into green color.
What happens when you put someone on Do Not Disturb iMessage?
When activated on an iPhone (or iPad, for that matter), it silences all incoming notifications, calls and texts so you don’t get woken up or distracted when you need to be left alone.
What happens when you send an iMessage message to someone else?
If the other person has other devices with iMessage enabled, one of those will receive the message before the iPhone and the sender will see the status “delivered”. If the iPhone is the only device, the message will only show delivered when the phone has been switched on again and it has access to the Internet.
What happens if you send an iMessage without an internet connection?
(If the recipient’s phone is on though but no internet connection and your iMessage settings say to send the message as a regular SMS in case iMessage was not available, then the recipient will receive the message as a regular SMS)
Where does the message go when it is sent from another iPhone?
When an imessage is sent from another iPhone it goes to an apple server. The server then delivers the message, if and only if, the device is turned on. Otherwise it is stored on the Apple server.
How do I send iMessage from my iPhone to my iPad?
Add a check to your phone number and email address, so that you can be reached by iMessage at both. Do the same on your iPad or iPod touch. On iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding, then choose which devices to allow to send and receive text messages from this iPhone.
