What is Auditor promotion?

You will be promoted To 4200 GP (Sr. Auditor), after three years of services. After working for 2 years, you are eligible for the departmental SAS exam for AAO post. After that, you will become Audit Officer(5400 GP) in 12–16 years.

How do you become a CAG auditor?

After getting the post of Assistant Audit Officer, you must go for a training which is conducted by Indian Audit and Account Department (IA&AD) of CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General). The training period will be 3 months. There are 12 Regional Training Institute in India which provide the AAO training.

What is the difference between Assistant Audit Officer and CAG?

Aao can mean both assistant audit officer and assistant accounts officer. Both jobs are different. CAG has branches in all states and are under the guidance of Accountant General. Branches have the responsibility of making accounts of states and union territories. That’s where assistant accounts officer comes in.

What is it like to be an aaaao in CAG?

AAO is the backbone of the department ( Highest workload in the department ) and after next promotion workload will again reduce. The only negative point in CAG is social life as most of time u need to go for audits which will require fields visit. Thus your family life will suffer a bit here.

What is the primary responsibility of the Central Accountant General (CAG)?

CAG has the primary responsibility to audit government accounts and is done through various teams consisting of branch officer (Audit officer/ Sr. Audit officer), Assistant audit officer, Auditor/MTS. They’re also responsible for follow ups and creating reports of audit.

How to become an assistant audit officer (AAO)?

Auditor is also eligible for SAS ( Departmental Exam ) after completion of 2 years of regular service. If auditor clears departmental Exam he/she will be promoted to the post of AAO ( Assistant Audit Officer – 4800 Grade Pay Gazetted – Cadre B ). After AAO post promotion are based on time and seniority in the hierarchy of : –
