Do you have to go through boot camp again if you enlist?

If you re-enlist in the branch you originally joined, you don’t have to re-do bootcamp. No one would stay in if every 4–5 years they had to go to back to square one. If you re-up on active duty and you didn’t re-up for a new MOS, no.

Do you keep your rank when you switch branches?

If you switch branches, you have a reduction in rank pending some required training, but you can make it back to your rank depending on how you do. In any case, you must remain physically and mentally fit in order to re-enlist.
