Can you donate blood with pernicious anemia?

You cannot give blood if you have Pernicious Anaemia. You cannot give blood if you are taking prescribed iron tablets or if you have been advised to take iron tablets to prevent anaemia.

Can I donate blood if I take iron tablets?

You are unable to give blood if you have been advised to take iron supplements by your doctor or nurse.
