Can a distance education graduate do LLB?

Yes a graduate degree from distance programme is fully valid for admission to LLB . According to BCI bar council of India only student with open university graduate system are not allowed to admission in LLB .

Can we do law by distance education?

Yes you can do a number of Courses through distance education to become a lawyer. Check out the BGL course of Annamalai University and Madurai Kamraj University. You can even do for the LLM after BGL.

Is distance LLM Recognised by BCI?

Distance degrees are not recognised by the Bar Council of India. There is a specific notification in this regard available online and at the BCI website. LLM has been recognised as a one year course too by the BCI and you may considered pursuing it full time at any University or Deemed University as per your choice.

LLM course duration can be of upto 3 years in a distance learning mode. All the LLM Distance Education Colleges need to be approved by UGC, otherwise the degree won’t be credible enough to be a qualification.
