Can a sound system mess up an alternator?

Just being a sound system does not affect an alternator. However, if it used a large amount of current it may place a high load on the alternator.

Will a blown speaker cause amp to shut off?

When a speaker is blown, the amp isn’t going to suddenly close the circuit and stop sending power to it, and this power isn’t being used to generate sound, so it just heats up the circuit and causes problems. Not all amplifiers are created equal.

Can an amp ruin an alternator?

However, subwoofers combined with their amplifier and the corresponding amplifier can damage your alternator if it draws too much power from your battery. And this can cause the alternator to overheat and potentially damage. An alternator works with your battery to charge your vehicle’s electrical systems.

The stereo’s system ground or earth wire greatly affects the performance of the overall system, particularly the speakers. Try relocating the ground wire to a more stable location and securing it firmly, particularly if it is loose or bouncing around.

Are car stereo speakers easy to install?

Though car stereo speakers are easy to install, they aren’t always easy to operate. No matter how recent your new car audio installation may or may not be, many issues can crop up, such as sound cutting out, being distorted, or not working at all.

The lack of blinkers and wipers is likely not related to the no start, but indicates several circuits are also disrupted. With all the computers, sensors, and anti-theft connections with multiple circuits I think this one is going to be tough. I’d recommend a good quality audio installation shop.
