Can a Tesla switch to gas?

Since Tesla cars are purely electric, they cannot run on gas. The only way a Tesla would run on gas is if the car were a hybrid. Unfortunately, Tesla does not make hybrid vehicles. The car will routinely shift to gas as its main source of fuel, and this extends the driving range of the vehicle.
