Does Zerodha trade on BSE or NSE?
Yes, Zerodha offers both BSE & NSE. Mostly every broker offeres for both. The advantage with zerodha is, There is ZERO brokerage for delivery based trades.
Can I purchase share in BSE and sell in NSE?
Yes, you can buy shares on one exchange and sell the same on another exchange, but only after the shares are credited to your Demat account i.e. T+2 day. For example, if you buy 100 shares of Infosys on Monday in NSE, on Thursday, you can choose to sell 100 shares on BSE.
Can I buy same stock from NSE and BSE?
Is it possible to buy shares on NSE and sell on BSE? The short answer is yes.
How do I Activate my Zerodha account on BSE?
If you have an old account with zerodha and at initial stage zerodha was not having BSE . Then you need to send one BSE activation request. Once they receive the same you will be able to trade the stocks in BSE segment only in case the segment is not added in your code.
Can I use Zerodha Demat account to buy shares on CDSL?
As long as the shares, debentures, or any other securities you hold are available on the CDSL depository, you can use your Zerodha demat account to hold them. You can check if the securities are available on CDSL by searching for the company name as shown below:
How do I buy SME stocks in BSE?
In BSE, stocks listed in SME are available in the ‘M’ category. You will find the list of stocks currently trading under this category here. ( bsesme.com > Markets > SME Streamer) The only thing different about stocks listed here is that they are traded in lots just like F&O. You cannot buy 1 share or any odd quantity.
You cannot buy 1 share or any odd quantity. The lot sizes of each of these stocks are decided by the exchange. These stocks have to be traded only in multiples of their lot size. (*lot size can be found out by looking at the market depth on the exchange website)
