Can I connect a condenser mic to my speaker?
Generally speaking, there are multiple devices and gain stages before a mic signal is sent to a loudspeaker and projected as sound. However, it is certainly possible to connect a microphone directly into a speaker.
Can you use a microphone as a speaker?
Can microphones be used as speakers? In short, yes. A microphone can work as a speaker when you plug it in an audio output jack. Microphones have a diaphragm that vibrates to produce sound when it receives an audio signal.
What is difference between aux and mic input?
A mic-level or microphone-level signal is the voltage level that comes out of a microphone when someone speaks into it, typically just a few ten-thousandths of a volt. So, 1 volt was a “line level” signal. Aux-level is in the region of -10 dBV (0.300 volt).
Can condenser mic be used without phantom power?
Although there’s no way to use a condenser mic without phantom power, you can use a condenser mic without an audio interface, or mixing board, straight to your computer. To do that you need you need an XLR to USB pre amp, such as the MXL Mic Mate Pro.
Does a condenser mic need power?
Put simply, condenser microphones have active electronics that need an external power source, while dynamic mics are passive and therefore do not need phantom power. Because of the way condenser mics work, their output is very high impedance, and therefore requires a powered circuit to reduce that impedance.
Can I connect microphone to amplifier?
Any microphone is cable of connecting with an amplifier. However, hooking up the microphone does require you to use an adapter as the signal coming from the microphone uses an XLR cable while the amp accepts 1/4-inch connections.
Can you plug speakers into microphone jack?
Short answer: Yes. Longer answer: The signal level from a speaker output is MUCH higher than what a microphone input can handle, plus, a speaker output is looking for about 8 ohms impedence.
