Can I do CFA along with BMS?

Yes, apart from MBA, a BMS fresher can opt for CFA programme as well. CFA i.e. Chartered Financial Analyst programme is a graduate level programme for investment professionals which can be done by self-studying. You need to clear admission test / entrance exam for getting into the CFA programme.

Can I do CPA after BMS?

General rule: The eligibility for CPA certification requires 120 credits. B.Com = 3 years x 30 credits = 90 credits. Exception: If B.Com is cleared in 1st division from a NAAC ‘A’ university, you are entitled to 30 additional credits, thereby increasing the credits to 120.

Is CFA necessary for asset management?

A CFA is not essential “It’s good training, it’s technical and it’s a nice refresher, but it’s not essential.” Especially some of the small-to-mid-sized asset managers with relatively small investment teams encourage early-career-stage employees to get a CFA.

In general, the CFA designation increases salaries by around 15-20\%. It appears that the CFA designation generates a larger salary bump in more senior roles than it does with more entry level positions.
