Can I get IB diploma in one year?

Most IB courses are taught at two levels, higher level, and standard level. Standard level courses typically are one year in duration but some are two (150 hours of instructions). Though rigorous, standard-level class requirements are not as strenuous as the higher-level course.

Can I repeat a year in IB?

If a candidate wishes to retake a subject, he/she can do this in any future examination session and at any IB World School offering the Diploma Programme. However, there are restrictions that apply so he/she must consult with the DP coordinator at the school where he/she wishes to register.

Are IB courses 2 years long?

The IB Diploma Program Scores are reported in early July. Students can take individual IB classes and earn a certificate of completion for each class (with a score of 4 or higher) or can be IB diploma students, which is a 2-year program for juniors and seniors.
