Yes ofcourse you can give jee mains while you are studying in any of the college .

Is it better to drop a year to prepare for JEE Main rather than taking admission colleges?

Dropping the year might help the candidate to be prepared but eventually will increase the competition too. The number of candidates applying for the exam will directly make it harder to get a good rank. Candidates should appear in the exam and may give their best.

Yes, you can prepare for jee mains with your college studies if are already sound with all the concepts. You will only be free after or 4 or5 for 5 days. So after 6 you will have to study till 10 or 11 because of the morning classes.
