Can I use IP camera with analog DVR?

Yes, a decoder could be added if you really want to add to the existing DVR, then input the analog feed into the DVR like any analog camera.

Is it possible to connect analog camera to NVR?

Yes. However, you would need an Analog to IP Converter to connect your Analog Camera to an NVR.

Can you connect IP camera to BNC DVR?

The BNC cameras are hard wired to the DVR using coaxial cable and the IP cameras connect to the DVR over an IP network by being connected to the same network switch or router. The following HD BNC camera types are supported up to 4K resolution: AHD (analog high definition), HD-TVI, HD-CVI.

Because each IP camera has its own user interface and camera options built into the camera itself, not all IP cameras are completely compatible with all NVRs.

Here is how to proceed:

  1. Take an Ethernet cable to connect the LAN port on the external PoE switch and the router. Then connect the router with the non-PoE NVR.
  2. Use Ethernet cables to connect all IP cameras to the PoE switch RJ45 ports.
  3. Use an HDMI cable or VGA cable to connect the monitor and the NVR.
