Can soldiers use their own optics?

You can provide your own optics, grips,flashlight,and stock if it was collapsible. Things we could not change where the barrel, gas block,trigger,free float rail. Unit commander dependent and whether you want to spend money on it.

Can soldiers bring home enemy weapons?

Although it’s tempting to bring back reminders of service in a military campaign, with few exceptions, taking or retaining individual souvenirs or trophies is prohibited. War trophies, defined as enemy weapons, ammunition, explosives or items of equipment, are non-mailable.

Do Special Forces use enemy weapons?

Other than that, there is no specific law prohibiting it unless their command has specifically prohibited it. They can’t keep the weapons, but, in a combat situation they could pick them up and use them.

Essentially none. Every single item in your unit’s armory is accounted for by serial number and hand signature. If you don’t need it, it’s under lock and key. It gets assigned out to you based on the MTOE — basically a document that says who is in what position in the unit, and is assigned to what weapon system.
