Can SSJ4 Goku beat Buu?

So yes, SSJ4 Buu Saga Goku is strong enough to beat Buuhan. Though he’s more likely to do what Vegito did, get absorbed by Buu on purpose to release his sons, Trunks and Piccolo. And without Vegeta there , Good Buu will stay inside, so no Kid Buu, Just Base Super Buu. At which point, Goku just kills Super Buu.

Can Buuhan go Super Saiyan?

The answer is yes. His power was fully awaken and so he had no need to transform into super Saiyan. He could go super but he didn’t know that Buu could absorb people and their power level. When he is in mystic form his full power was awaken and he had the same power as he did as super Saiyan.
