Can you be a Boy Scout and a Venture Scout?

Yes. Any youth (boy or girl) who earns First Class rank in Scouts BSA may transfer primary membership to Venturing or Sea Scouts and continue to work on Eagle Scout requirements. From the upcoming 2019 Guide to Advancement (4.3.

What happened Venture Scouts?

The Venture Scout program was replaced by the Explorer Scout program and the Scout Network following a review in 2003. Venture Scouts had an active programme, which promoted outdoor activities and community service.

What do Venturing Scouts do?

It is one of the Boy Scouts’ three programs for older youth, which also include Sea Scouts and Exploring. The purpose of Venturing is to provide a positive environment where youth members, called Venturers, can lead the adventure, take on new leadership roles, and mature into responsible adults.
