Can you bring pictures to Army basic training?

Pictures – They are allowed to have pictures. However, do keep in mind that they have limited space. Soldiers don’t need the entire photo album, just a few pictures will do. You may want to be sure you are sending copies rather than originals just in case something happens to them.

Can you bring a picture to basic training?

According to the Air Force recruiter, the only things you “HAVE TO HAVE” to go to basic training are a picture ID (driver’s license if your Air Force job requires one), Social Security card or printout from the Social Security office, direct-deposit form and the clothes on your back.

Can I send pictures to my boyfriend in basic training?

Send a small photo or two. DO NOT decorate the outside of the envelope with drawings, stickers, or write any text other than the address and your return address (and no spritz of perfume either). This will cause unnecessary attention from the Drill Instructor during mail call.

Recruits in many Army basic training platoons are now allowed to use personal cell phones to call friends and families, send text messages, and update their social media status.

Can you send pictures in mail to basic training?

Any packages received during basic training will be opened in front of Drill Sergeants and the rest of the recruits. Don’t send clothes. This tactic gives the drill sergeants fuel to endlessly make fun of your favorite little recruit. Don’t send pictures you don’t want others to see.

They should be PG. It may be a printed picture or it can be printed on paper. Size does matter as Trainees only have a small drawer to hold all of their personal items. Some Trainees have to show the picture to their TI.

Can females shave in basic training?

Just a Little off the Sides: Haircuts Almost immediately after arrival, your hair will be cut so short that it almost feels like you were shaved bald (guys only). After the initial haircut, you’ll get a trim at least once per week during basic training. Except for the Navy, women do not have to get their hair cut.

There are no cell phones allowed in Basic Training. This is a consistent rule for all of the military branches: Do not expect your service member to be able to call you, text you, or receive your messages when they are in Basic Training. Army recruits keep their phones shut off and in a locker.

How long does it take to complete Army basic training?

The complete Army basic training cycle is about 10 weeks, divided into three phases: Red, White and Blue, which last about three weeks each. After passing the final tests of the Blue Phase, your next step is the graduation ceremony, where you’ll get to celebrate your accomplishments with your friends and family.

When to stop sending CARE Packages to soldiers in basic training?

Be sure to stop sending any mail about 2 weeks before basic graduation. You can check the individual website for Army Basic Combat Training for care package information: Your soldier in training will love hearing from you as they transition from civilian to soldier! Be sure to keep writing letters of encouragement.
