Can you bring water bottles into a bar?

In general, no. Health codes hold restaurants and bars/pubs responsible for what people eat and drink, which means whatever you eat or drink has to be under their control.

Can you bring your own drink to a bar?

Usually no, you can’t. There do exist exceptions. Like informal clubs or student organizations which aren’t public bars and which do not have an explicit business on making money by selling the alcohol.

Can you charge for water at a bar?

In the US, if the restaurant serves bottled water, it is common to charge for it. It is not common to charge for water poured into a glass, but it is not illegal to do so. You would likely get a lot of complaints from your patrons.

Yes, you can put a small point-of-use water heater under the bar. I’ve had great luck with the Tiny Titan water heaters. I’d probably only run a cold water line to the wet bar and split it off under the sink cabinet. I’d install a tiny point-of-use water heater for the hot water you’ll need.

Should you go to the bar alone for a drink?

Popping into a bar for a solo drink always seems like a great idea: you’re there on your own terms, you don’t have to wait on any of your friends, you don’t have to make conversation with an early Tinder date. Maybe you’ll even win the favor of that bartender you like.
