Can you join the Air Force while still in high school?

High school seniors or graduates must achieve a 36 AFQT (overall score) as the minimum qualifying score. GED holders must achieve a 50 AFQT. The ASVAB is not required to join the Air Force as an Officer, however, most Officer candidates must pass the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT).

Can you go to basic training at 16?

You must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien. You must be at least 17 years old (17-year-old applicants require parental consent).

Can you go to Navy boot camp at 17?

To join the Navy, you must be between 18 and 34 years old (or 17 with parental consent). A high school diploma is preferred, but a high school equivalent such as the GED may also be accepted. Navy training begins with seven to nine weeks of Boot Camp at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois.

Split-option enlistment — As a junior in high school, you can enlist in the Army National Guard and not interrupt your high school education. You start by attending basic training the summer after your junior year.
