You may lie during the interview to negotiate a better package. But eventually you will be asked to provide latest pay slip.
Should I tell current CTC?
All the best. The best answer is to tell upfront your expected CTC. Do some research in advance before attending the interview to find the salary range for your job profile and experience level.
Is CTC confidential?
The bank statement/salary slips are highly confidential information that no one should claim to have the access to. Widely this process of sharing such sensitive information is termed ‘Company Policy’ but in grand scheme of things it is just unfair negotiation.
Can hiring company verify salary?
No, the California Labor Code prohibits an employer from seeking salary history information about an applicant for employment. Salary history information includes both your rate of compensation and information about other benefits. The law applies to all employers (including state and local government).
Do you have to tell interviewer your current salary?

Having read a definition of CTC and its components, I’m going to say that you have to ask your current HR for an official breakdown. For example, some of the things included are Office Space Rent, Incentives or bonuses (which might include your variable pay), and Income tax savings.
