Can you run integrated graphics and a graphics card at the same time?

So, to answer your question, yes, it is possible to use both the integrated GPU and the dedicated GPU on a laptop for running one game. It’s possible to do this at the hardware level, and it’s possible to do this at the software level.

Can I use both my internal and external graphics card in same system?

You can use them both for having multi monitor setups. They cannot be used simultaneously to improve performance.

You have to enable the multi-GPU option in BIOS. By default, the iGPU is disabled, if you have a dGPU installed. After you’ve enabled that option in BIOS, you’ll have both GPUs available. I have both a GTX 1080 and Intel iGPU enabled myself.

How can I use both integrated and dedicated graphics for gaming?

There should be an option named iGPU mult-monitor or something similar in the motherboard settings. You can turn it on if you want to use both the integrated and dedicated GPU’s at the same time. By default, the iGPU is turned off when you plug in a graphics card.
