Can you send colored envelopes to boot camp?

Yes, absolutely a recruit may receive an envelope of any color! Some RDCs will use mail call as an extra opportunity to get/keep their recruits in top physical shape by making them do extra push-ups, for example, for every letter they receive, or if it indeed was colored, but this is all in good spirit.

How long does it take to be shipped off to boot camp?

A. Typically, a standard letter sent using the United States Postal Service, can take anywhere from 5-10 business days, depending on where the letter was sent from. We also recommend adding on another day, due to the process utilized to distribute mail to the recruits in their ships.

How long does it take to receive a letter from someone in Army basic training?

What happens if a family member dies while you’re in bootcamp?
