Alt characters are not allowed in passwords.

What characters Cannot be used in a password?

Special characters, including the following are not acceptable: (){}[]|`¬¦! “£$\%^&*”<>:;#~_-+=,@. If you do use a disallowed character and the system does not recognize your mistake you will not be allowed to use the password or username to log into your account later.

Can you use Unicode in passwords?

The latest version, Unicode 9.0, defines nearly 130,000 characters. Unicode is the native encoding scheme in all major operating systems and the internet. Using even just one such non-ASCII character in your password can make brute force and dictionary attacks infeasible.
